How to calculate an appliance’s electricity consumption in kWh

Convert appliance watts and operating hours into daily and monthly kWh, then estimate cost using the current tariff.

Divide watts by 1,000 to get kilowatts, multiply by operating hours to get kWh, then multiply by days and the applicable tariff for an estimate.
